‘Flowers are so intricate and we dont always see the true colours and blending of colours with the nature of the seeds and life within. I love to see the close-up of a flower, and its beauty within.

Starting my journey into abstract art, as you will know by now i have a love of nature, so this is my view of flowers in a multitude of natures colours. 

If flowers were multi coloured this is maybe what they’d look like, Multi-coloured bouquets often represent joy, optimism and celebration, what could be better than that. 

Harvesting in Durris, Aberdeenshire. On a walk through Durris Woods i saw this great views through the trees looking onto Grampian Mountains.

The Loch of Skene is a large lowland, freshwater loch in Aberdeenshire close to the village of Kirkton of Skene.

Loch Kinnord is a small freshwater loch at Muir of Dinnet, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It was formed from a glacial kettle hole and sits 5 miles east of Ballater. Lots of nature in and around the lake.

This bird was right in front of me dipping and shaking his feathers, all fluffed up. funny to watch.

Situated on a rocky peninsula jutting into Loch Awe. It contains the oldest surviving barracks on the British Mainland

The beauty of lavender and its beautiful scent.

I saw this goose waddling along the the sand by a large lake in Dubai. looked like he was skating on the sand, knew I’d do a painting of him one day.

The biggest stags will hold harems in the middle of the rut when most of the hinds are in season. Roars are used as the first line of defense as a way to deter rivals.

Watching the mallards run up the beach in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire on day gave me the inspiration for this. made me smile.

Sunsets and sunrises are two of my favourite scenes, mainly because of the beautiful colours.

Red Squirrel watching in the woods was a pastime of mine. they are both fun to watch as well as pretty.

Love ducks, i had a pond beside me recently with many ducks, especially mallards, lovely to watch.

Before it dives into the water a kingfisher will sit on a perch for some time bobbing its head backwards and forwards to gauge  the exact position of a fish while keeping its body perfectly still then dives at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour. The kingfisher really is the king of fishing and diving.

Being a huge cat love, I am always bemused by the antics of naughty kittens and the expressions when they are caught in the act.

This is my third Kingfisher I’ve painted, I just love them. Small and stunning little birds and perfect little fishing birds as they patiently watch and wait for the right moment to swoop.

An amazing work of art in itself this railway bridge was built 1890 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in East Scotland

not sure how these cute little mice manage to sit on these spiky thistles but doesn’t seem to bother them much

This was painted for an Exhibition In Ras Al Khaimah, UAE whilst I was living there. The Exhibition took place in the National Museum and we were asked to paint something to do with the Museum itself. This scene portrays the importance coffee has played in the lives of the local people when coffee was introduced back in the 11th century and they met socially.

I was simply captivated by the beautiful lady who was soon to deliver her first foal. 

I painted this as I walk regularly in the woods beside my home were I can see deer, foxes, squirrels and various birds which I love. These are Roe Deer which have a slightly unusual face and large mule like ears.

A 1930’s beauty. there’s just something about the look and the fashion in the 30’s which is so appealing. She also has a certain look on her face that says something……

This used to be one of my favourite sweets when I was younger, i loved it because it had ice-cream and strawberries but also because it came in a very tall glass….Yum!

You have to love these busy little pollinators.

Mooh the Coo is a typical looking Highland Coo, with his reddish brown coat and perfect horns. He just looks so huggable.
